Tomasz Marczynski from Poland may be counted amongst the top riders of his country after winning the Polish national title on the road and time trial in 2011. In the new year he has since emerged as a climber, time trialist and attacker. This fits in with his new team’s strategy of racing offensively, where they know that this rider does not shy away from a share of leading work. With a thirteenth place in the Vuelta, the rider from Poland proved he has a lot going for him in three-week stage races as well. In the new season, the fast man will have to further test his limits at a WorldTour level. His limits might be somewhere very far ahead. At the end of May, we will know more.
