Stijn Devolder
In his first year at Vacansoleil-DCM Stijn Devolder, to his own frustration, could not fully meet expectations. However, the Belgian managed to turn the tables and revealed himself as a master helper for Wout Poels and Sergey Lagutin in the Tour of Spain. He won the modest GP Paul Borremans, which made him very happy after all his misfortunes. The Vacansoleil-DCM team management kept its trust in the rider who booked the Tour of Flanders to his name in 2008 and 2009 and who managed to become national champion in 2010 both in the road race and the time trial. When he is in good shape Stijn Devolder is a rider who should be able to do really well both in the spring classics and at a more selective level.
