Sergey Lagutin

A rider the public may be less familiar with, and therefore somewhat underestimated, but who is considered of great value to his team. In the more selective classic races and stage races, the Uzbekistan national champion rises to the top almost automatically, sometimes to score a personal top classification but also often supporting other riders. Sergey Lagutin ended in fifteenth place in the Tour of Spain last year and in 2012 he will, once again, be highly motivated and eager to complete his racing kilometres. The 2003 world champion of the Men Under 23 category (Hamilton) is still very motivated, even though he is now in his thirties. Given his knowledge, talent and fanaticism he can be seen as an example for the young riders in the team.
