Kris Boeckmans

Before March 2012 was halfway through, Kris Broeckmans had already finished 2nd three times. The sprinter who was unable to compete in 2011 due to knee problems, immediately showed he was made of sterner stuff. The 25 year-old then rode the Tour de France with noticeable ease, and came fifth in the final stage. The rough diamond in Boeckmans has to become a sparkling diamond, competing at the front at classics and bunch sprints. With the confidence of the team and competition from 2012, a glorious future awaits the proud man from Flanders.
