Danny van Poppel

Van Poppel achieved four victories in international races in his first season as an Under-23. A place in the selection of the Tour de l’Avenir and the selection for the Under-23s team for the World Championship resulted in a place with Vacansoleil-DCM. The strong sprinter still has to find himself, and he is given plenty of space to do so. A balanced programme has to fit in with his development and workload as a rider. Extensive data analysis will be of immense importance to a rider who is still getting to know his body and his capabilities. We will already start to see his class in his first year with the pros, which is going to be an absolute pleasure.
