Stefan Denifl

Stefan Denifl is a promising rider and a great climber, and has a good time trial in the legs. Moreover, he is good at both (short) stage races, such as one day races. He is a rider with growth potential, thereby giving Vacansoleil- DCM quite some expectations. This young Austrian has something in common with his new team mate Johnny Hoogerland since he was also hit by a car during a race in 2011. Last year Denifl narrowly escaped an accident with serious consequences when a car drove him off his bike in the Tour of California. The rider escaped without serious injuries and in autumn he had a respectable fifth place in the GP Montreal (World Tour).
