Nikita Novikov

This Russian experienced his breakthrough in 2011. The climber Nikita Novikov was noticed in particular because of his final victories in the Tour of Slovakia and the Tour des Pays de Savoie. The ex-world champion in the juniors’ points race booked a total of six victories and in the Netherlands he gained attention with a seventh place in the Ronde van Overijssel. For 2012 this Russian could take his pick of many teams but chose Vacansoleil- DCM where, thanks to a good race program, he will get to experience the highest levels of cycling right away. At the beginning of his career Novikov is willing to work for the team, but he hopes to put down some very good personal results if the opportunity arises.
