Kenny van Hummel

This rider belongs to the sprinters club and each year he is good for an excellent series of victories and places of honour, both at home and abroad. At 29, Kenny van Hummel hopes to improve again in what will be his first year at the highest level. In order to adapt well to his new team mates, Van Hummel decided to ride for the first time for Vacansoleil-DCM in the Tour Down Under. The new opportunities offered by the World Tour will be experienced by Van Hummel at his debut in the Tour Down Under. The sprinter is also looking forward to the collaboration with the previous top sprinter Jean-Paul van Poppel, one of the team leaders of the formation. Van Hummel will take the field in more races at the highest level in 2012 and is hoping to beat some sprinters like Greipel and Petacchi, as he did last year in the Tour of Turkey.
