Boy van Poppel

A recent addition to the team is Boy van Poppel. This 24-year-old rider was a promising cyclo-cross and road cyclist with the juniors. After he chose for the road, he ended up in the US and his many top-10 finishes were particularly impressive. Due to the limited number of race days, the relative number of top-10 finishes is extremely high. This is an indication that Boy is often still there in the finals, and is willing to throw himself into the thick of things. He can start doing this as much as he wants at Vacansoleil DCM, whether he does with a sprinter hot on his wheel or alone. With his young age and attractive riding tactics, he is a complete fit with our vision of the team.
