The UCI issued the Vacansoleil Pro Cycling team on 2nd December with a pro-continental licence for 2010. In order to obtain this the team were evaluated on their management and finances. Due to a successful first season and meeting the relevant criteria the team were awarded with the licence.

The team will have 23 riders for the new season and in addition to participating in the Tour of Europe the team will do its best to gain wild cards from race organisers to compete in many of the Pro Tour and Historical events.

The UCI will announce which Pro Continental team will get their wild card label in January.
