Romain Feillu finishes seventh in Adelaide.

The sixth and last stage in the Tour Down Under was won by Andre Greipel. The final tournament was won by Simon Gerrans, who picked his moment in stage five. In that fifth stage to Old Willunga Hill, Thomas De Gendt tried to score highly in the mountain classification. The 25 year old Belgian took a few points, but not enough to win the mountain jersey.

For team leader Michel Cornelisse it was an interesting week: “We have done ourselves proud and proved ourselves, especially as on the last day we were in the running with Sergey Lagutin. Of course it's a pity that our sprinters fell a few times and that Lagutin had a bad day during the Queens ride. However, I have seen the development of a good pair in Mol and van Hummel. I know that Feillu, Lagutin and De Gendt are developing too. I'm looking forward to the new season away from the Australian heat.”
