Vacansoleil pro Cycling Team has contracted the Danish rider Martin Mortensen for the 2009 season. With the arrival of this 24 year old rider the 2009 team is completed.

In 2008 Martin Mortensen won the first stage of La Boucle de l'Artois – Trophée Arras Leader, and also the twin- time trial Duo Normand in France. Mortensen is a solid time trial rider. Also he has proven to be a good sprinter in a small group. With Vacansoleil Mortensen will be given the opportunity to develop his skills.
